Infocommunications Technologies and Applications Programme
- Year of establishment of the programme: 1996
- First call for proposals: 1997 (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002)

Objectives:
(1) development and trials of new tools, services and processes with market potential, (2) development of applications of public interest, information services, information and knowledge management, information and communication technologies. Priority areas include the development of open source, free software, educational, healthcare and medical applications. -
Eligibility:
private companies, incl. SMEs, universities and other research institutes, other organisations (with little restriction); foreign participation in the project consortium is given preference under the condition that the foreign partner covers all its expenses, i.e. no Hungarian financial support can be given to foreign organisations - Sub-programmes: None
- Minimum support: 10 MHUF (max. 75 MHUF)
- Source of financing: State Budget + participant's contribution
- The number of project proposals submitted: between 120 and 250 annually
- Acceptance ratio: 20% on average
- Duration of projects: min. 12, max. 36 months
