The Hungarian CERN Committee
After Hungary joined CERN in 1992 the Hungarian CERN Committee has been established by the Hungarian Government to keep up contacts with the CERN Council and to act on behalf of the Hungarian interest in the course of the Hungarian activity at CERN.
It consists of a chairman, appointed by the Prime Minister and 5 members, of whom 4 are nominated by the chairman upon the recommendation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) and the Hungarian Conference of University Chancellors and 1 member is delegated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
