ERA-MORE (European Research Area, Mobile Researchers) Network – The network of mobility centres for researchers
In order to promote the mobility of researchers, the European Commission supports the establishment and operation of mobility centres in Europe coordinated by bridgehead organisations.

1.1 European Researcher’s Mobility Portal (http://ec.europa.eu/euraxess/)

Part of the project is to introduce the European Mobility Portal to researchers and institutions involved in research. Registered researchers and research institutions may find each other through the portal that ensures accessibility of the 28 national mobility centres.

1.2 The network of Hungarian mobility centres

The Hungarian network consists of two bridgehead organisations and eight regional contact points. Bridge-heads serve both a general and region-related purposes that include ensuring the flow of information inside and outside the network, organising events, preparing flyers and maintaining the website. Contact points are integrated in the given higher education institutes and work at the local level. Their tasks are similar to those of the bridgeheads and include content provision, primarily in the following fields:

  • visas, work permits, temporary residence permits, taxation, health insurance, pensions
  • job vacancies for researchers, guest researcher posts, scholarships
  • accommodation, education, language learning, cultural events

Coordinating bridgehead organisation:
Tempus Foundation (http://www.tka.hu/)

Bridgehead organisation and contact point for Central Hungary:
Hungarian Science and Technology Foundation

Regional contact points:

  • Northern Hungary: University of Miskolc
  • Central Transdanubia: University of Veszprém
  • Northern Great Plain: University of Debrecen
  • Western Transdanubia: University of West Hungary and University of Győr
  • Southern Transdanubia: Universities of Kaposvár and Pécs
  • Southern Great Plain: University of Szeged

1.3 Mobility Portal for Hungarian Researchers (http://euraxess-hungary.hu/)

The services and information offered in the European portal can only be truly accessible and tailor-made with informative and structured national mobility portals.

The Hungarian website offers the following services and links:

  • registration for institutions, participation in the European online database, opportunity to upload vacancies for researchers
  • registration for researchers, participation in the European online database, opportunity to upload CVs
  • information on Hungarian and international scholarships, calls and events
  • R&D institutions
  • contact institutions of the Hungarian network, information about the regions
  • institutions and legal background of Hungarian research and development
  • virtual office, information on mobility
  • a forum to share experiences gathered abroad
