MOBILITY Call - HUMAN-MB08
On behalf of the President of NKTH, NKTH and the Hungarian Scientific Research Fund (OTKA) publish a call for proposals titled “MOBILITY” for the period between 2008 and 2010 to support the international mobility of researchers in order to promote research careers (call acronym: HUMAN-MB08).

The call is open for continuous submission from its publication until its budget is exhausted, but no later than 1st October 2010.

Announcement - „MOBILITÁS” (HUMAN-MB08)

We inform our applicants, that the deadlines for proposal submission in the „MOBILITÁS” programme (HUMAN-MB08) co-financed by the NKTH-OTKA-FP7 (Marie Curie actions) in 2010 are as follows:

  • 25th May 2010 (24:00) (for the electronic documents)
  • 28th May 2010 (for the documents sent by post)

Those proposals shall be considered in the second round of the evaluation which are submitted and finalized in the OTKA EPR system electronically by 24 hours on 25 May 2010 and their identical hard copies with authorized signatures are sent by 28 May 2010 (according to their postal timestamps) to the OTKA Office.
The data content of “KözpénzŰrlap”, i.e. “Form for the transparency of subsidies provided from public funds” shall be submitted electronically to a kozpenz2008@nkth.gov.hu  e-mail address, while the printed and signed version of the forms must be attached to the original proposal documentation and sent to the OTKA Office. The submission deadlines of the electronic and printed versions of “KözpénzŰrlap” (Public funds form) are the same: 28 May 2010 (24h).

Objective of the call

The aims of the MOBILITY Call, co-financed by NKTH-OTKA-EU 7th Framework Programme (Marie Curie actions), include promoting the scientific careers of experienced researchers with PhD degree or at least 4 years of full-time employment as researchers by

  • supporting their mobility and international experience-gaining,
  • promoting the exploitation of experience acquired in international, non-European countries by supporting researchers returning to Hungary.

Who can submit a proposal?

Researchers with PhD degree or at least 4-years of full-time employment are eligible to submit a proposal in case of all thematic priorities.

Which science fields can you submit a proposal on?

The call is open to every science field; the main evaluation aspect is the professional excellence. The evaluation of the proposals will be carried out by 4 specialty committees according to the following:

  • technical sciences
  • natural sciences
  • life sciences
  • social sciences

What activities are eligible under the call?

A., Outgoing mobility (HUMAN-MB08-A):
Helping researchers with Hungarian nationality to gain international experience by supporting their research projects at a prominent international research unit.

B., Incoming mobility (HUMAN-MB08-B):
Applying researchers with non-Hungarian nationality at an internationally renowned Hungarian research unit, hereby advancing the international research and development co-operations and knowledge transfer.

C., Reintegration (HUMAN-MB08-C):
Helping researchers who worked in a non-European country for at least 36 months prior to the submission of their proposal to establish a research unit in Hungary.

What can be funded by the call?

Under the call a final grant with no repayment obligation can be received. There is no need to provide own resources for the projects. It is eligible to cover personnel costs of the researcher realizing the funded research project; furthermore the Hungarian institution hosting or delegating the researcher receives funding for its management and overhead costs.

When and where shall the proposals submitted to?

Proposals shall be submitted in English to the OTKA Office.

The original printed copy of the proposal with original signatures and with the attachments shall be sent to the OTKA Office by registered mail, separated from any other documentation. On the parcel, please indicate the priority

acronym:
HUMAN MB08-A”, or „HUMAN-MB08-B”, or „HUMAN-MB08-C”.
By electronic submission the acronym of the proposal shall be indicated in the subject field:
HUMAN-MB08.
