A pályázatok benyújtása 2012. október 29-től a keret kimerüléséig folyamatosan, de legkésőbb 2013. december 31. napjáig lehetséges.

The enormous success of embedded computing has stimulated new research policies and programs in this thriving area of information technology world-wide. The economic significance of embedded systems is as undoubted as the scientific challenges ahead of us. But where exactly is the field going? What are the major challenges that improved policies need to address? What are the trends in recent programs and what are current opportunities not to be missed by Embedded Computing Research? These are the topics of the conference on “Strategies for Embedded Computing Research”.

A világ vezető iparágaiban (autógyártás, telekommunikáció, avionika, ipari automa­tizálás, szórakoztató elektronika, orvosi és egészségügyi eszközök) a beágyazott rendszerek aránya végtermék vagy szolgáltatás költségében átlagosan 50% feletti, s ez az érték folyamatosan nő. Az ezredfordulón világon 10 milliárd mikroprocesz­szor volt használatban, 98%-uk beágyazott rendszerekben. Európa világpiaci ré­szesedése e területen mintegy 19%.

A 2008-ban meghirdetésre került ARTEMIS Közös Technológiai Kezdeményezés keretében kiírt programban 2 magyar érdekeltségű pályamű (INDEXYS és SCALOPES) került támogatásra.  A tárgyalási eljárás során kialakított támogatási összegeket a konzorciumi tagonként az alábbi táblázat részletezi:

2009 elején ismét Nünberg az embedded közösség nemzetközi találkozóhelye, hiszen 2009. március 3-5. között itt tárja ki kapuit az Embedded World 2009 Exhibition & Conference.

The ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking is a public-private partnership that was created in February 2008 to operate an industrial R&D programme in the area of embedded computing systems. It launched its first call for proposals on 8 May 2008 with a public budget of almost 100 million; the call successfully closed on 3 September 2008.

ARTEMIS-JU (Joint Undertaking) is a Joint Technology Initiative with a ‘public private partnership’ between the European Commission, the participating Member States*, and ARTEMISIA - the association for R&D actors in the field of ARTEMIS. ARTEMIS stands for Advanced Research and Technology for EMbedded Intelligence and Systems. The ARTEMIS-JU will officially exist in early February of 2008.
